Several experts with different opinions gathered at CC Forum Investment in Blockchain and AI conference in London this week. During a session at the conference bitcoin critic Nouriel Roubini and BTCC founder, Bobby Lee got into a heated argument over the depreciating value of fiat currencies.
Bobby Lee said that he moved to the US 30 years ago, and at the time, a 100 dollar bill had a lot more value than it has now. He asked that is it fair that the same bill is worth so much less today. Roubini replied that any shitcoin would lose 90% value in 24 months, to which Lee was quick to respond, saying that Roubini is comparing a 100 dollar bill to a shitcoin.
Earlier, Roubini opined that there is nothing wrong with quantitative easing, zero policy rates, foreign guidance, or anything that central banks do. He also said that during previous recessions, the same mistakes were made, referring to when people were able to liquidate. He added that we have learned lessons from the past, where there was no monetary policy was in place.
