Crypto exchange LocalBitcoins flashed a message on its website that warned all Tor users. The exchange alleged that Tor browser exposes you to the risk of having your bitcoins stolen. A user tweeted the screenshot of the banner warning.
Tor is considered among the most secure browser as it helps the user to surf the internet anonymously. Earlier a transactional compliance expert Richard Bensberg tweeted the same screenshot of the banner to which LocalBitcoins replied that using Tor browser is not against the term and services of the exchange, but they advise not to use it for security reasons.

Earlier in June, the peer to peer crypto exchange announced that every user would have to provide personal information in order to use the services. This decision attracted criticism from the crypto community.
