Bitcoin advocate Tim Draper opined that the bitcoin ban in India will lead to more corruption in the country under the current government’s rule.

Tim Draper, who is known for promoting the use of bitcoin, recently said that the bitcoin ban in India would lead to more corruption in the country under the current government’s rule. He thinks Indian Prime Minister Modi is going back to the old ways by banning the use of cryptocurrencies.

In an interview with California-based media outlet Indica, Tim Draper said that by blocking bitcoin Indian PM Modi is creating more corruption, which he thinks is very dangerous for the country. This is not the first time that Tim Draper spoke against India’s government. Earlier, in July, he called the Indian government “pathetic and corrupt.”

Last year, the central bank of India banned all the banks from providing any services to cryptocurrency exchanges. Now the Indian government is considering to outlaw the use of cryptocurrencies altogether. Currently, the case is in the hands of the Supreme court of India, and so far, there has not been any progress in the case.
