Renowned economist Nouriel Roubini who is known for criticizing cryptocurrency has once again taken a shot against the crypto world. This time he has alleged Ripple CEO of “lying in broad daylight.” In support of a tweet against Ripple market report, Roubini in his tweet compared people who work with crypto and blockchain to con men, crooks, cheaters, liars, criminals, and much more. Many people tweeted in defense of Ripple and crypto world in general, but Roubini didn’t reply to any of them.

Roubini a professor at NYU’s Stern School of Business, just a few days ago in a blog heavily criticized cryptocurrency, and he also blamed US lawmakers to not do anything about it.  He repeated the same rhetoric that how cryptocurrency has given rise to entire new criminal industry. In his blog, he also blamed digital currencies for “unregulated offshore exchanges, paid propagandists, and an army of scammers looking to fleece retail investors.”

He compared the crypto world to an unregulated casino, where unchecked criminality runs riot.  In his blog, he wrote that Bitmex insiders had revealed t him that terrorists and criminals use Bitmex for money laundering daily.  Earlier this month Roubini in a debate with Arthur Hayes blamed Bitmex for scamming its users and providing facilities for money laundering, he demanded that Bitmex should be prosecuted and banned. According to markets.businessinsiders.com, in this untelevised debate, Arthur hayes called Roubini, a “one-trick pony.”

Even with immense proof of what cryptocurrency can achieve with its potential, some people still deny and are not ready to accept the digital currency.
