Twitter CEO and bitcoin advocate, Jack Dorsey, is trying to bring bitcoin to Africa. In a recent visit to African countries, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa, Jack Dorsey met with bitcoin businesses and talked about future prospects.

“Africa will define the future, especially the bitcoin one.”

After finishing his visit to Afirca, Jack Dorsey tweeted that the continent will define the future of bitcoin. He also announced that he will be living in Africa for 3-6 months next year. Earlier, Twitter CEO had revealed that he buys $10,000 bitcoin per week. However, Dorsey did not reveal his plans for what he will be doing during his visit next year.

Bitcoin adoption rises in Nigeria despite strict regulations.

The legal status of bitcoin and digital currency is still in a grey area in the country. A recent report by the Nigerian Banker revealed that the use of bitcoin in the country has been on the rise. Since 2017. Nigeria and South Africa have been popular “BTC hotspots” in the world. Recently, one of the world’s leading crypto exchanges, Binance, added Nigerian currency Naira as the fiat-to-crypto trading pair on its platform. Ghana and South Africa are other countries where adoption of the leading cryptocurrency has been on the rise.
