A father and daughter duo have received a combined prison sentence of 8 years for selling drugs in exchange for Bitcoin on the dark web. Brittany Nicole Green was sentenced to 5 years in prison, whereas her father, Gregory, will spend 3 years behind bars.

They ran a mail-order drug operation, which they operated from their home in Billings, Montana. They shipped a variety of drugs with the help of mail and did this operation between 2017-2018. When the authorities raided their house, they found carfentanil, meth, and Xanax, which would appeal to various buyers.

The authorities started the investigation on the duo from December 2018 onwards as the Border Patrol officers in Michigan found a package containing Xanax that was being sent to Green’s address.

US Attorney Bryan Dake said that this case was different from other cases as the whole operation was operated from home, and they didn’t have to go anywhere for the deals. Brittany was pleaded guilty for possession of meth to distribute. A plea deal was put forward, and the prosecutors dropped a drug charge; otherwise, she would’ve been in jail for a longer period. Gregory admitted to possession and conspiracy charges with no plea agreement in place.
