Kayvon Pirestani is the head of institutional sales at Coinbase in Asia, and he recently mentioned at the Invest: Asia conference that Coinbase is exploring the IEO and STO’s(security token offering) space. It was not a formal announcement, but we won’t be surprised if it happens in the future.

Japanese exchange Coincheck also considered launching an IEO platform to help firms raise funds with the help of utility tokens. The concept of IEO platforms was popularized by Binance, and within 2019, 12 exchanges including OKEx, Huobi, and Bittrex have announced their platforms for this year. 39 projects are already a part of an IEO platform.
