YouTube lifts ban on recently blocked two crypto channels

YouTube recently blocked two new crypto-related channels, and some creators alleged that this is part of an ongoing campaign
YouTube recently blocked two new crypto-related channels, and some creators alleged that this is part of an ongoing campaign by the video platform against content creators who publish cryptocurrency-related content.

The video-sharing giant, YouTube has blocked several crypto-related channels on its platform in the last few months. The two crypto channels on the platform that were unblocked by YouTube are BTC Sessions and Tone Vays. The crypto censorship on the world’s largest video-sharing platform has been a subject of concern for the crypto community for a long time.

Demand for other decentralized video sharing platform rises.

Crypto content creators on YouTube have been raising their concern regarding the targetted attack on them. BTC Sessions tweeted after their channel’s reinstatement that in order to mitigate risk, they are expanding news-related content to include streaming on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Live, Twitter via Periscope, and DLive. The censorship on YouTube has also been criticized by crypto industry leaders, including Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao and TRON founder Justin Sun. YouTube has been flagging and suspending crypto-related YouTube channels since later last year. The crypto community has widely criticized the targetted attack on crypto content creators. Despite a brief sigh of relief for the two crypto-content creators, the censorship is still a problem for many creators.

YouTube channel CryptoCrow restored after four days of suspension.

Ass reported earlier, crypto YouTube channel Crypto Crow was suspended by the platform on 9th April. The channel was later restored on 14th April. Jason Appleton, the YouTuber behind the channel’s management, claimed that the platform gave him no explanation as to why his channel was suspended in the first place. YouTube channels Ivan on Tech and The Moon also experienced problems with their YouTube channels nearly a month ago.

Demand for the decentralized platform has risen among crypto content creators as they fear that they do not have control over their content, and they can be banned from the platform anytime without any prior notice or warning. BTC Sessions thanked the crypto community, who raised such a big stink on social media. He also announced to expand to other platforms, including Twitch, Facebook Live, Twitter via Periscope, and DLive.
