Mobile Applications drive technology adoption today and XRP-based TipBot, a third party app paved the way for a new platform – cryptocurrencies – to ascend Google and Apple App stores.

The idea of tipping is central to the crypto world, and donors are quick to appreciate members of their community by tipping them in the community-native token/currencies. XRP is also one such favorite tipping form, and the bot app developed by Wieste Wind allows

“Easy way to Tip your friends, family or even stores or restaurants in real life. Just enter the amount and scan a QR code. The QR codes on the XRPTipBot Personal Donation pages work as well.”

To allow improved adoption of the app, the developer has also increased the tip limit to 20 XRP on every tip.

Wind expects the app to be used in places such as pubs, charities, restaurants and among friends, families.

Tip Bot App

The app can be activated only when the user scans the QR on their system in the initial stages, after which it was integrated for mobile applications.

Interestingly two independent developers have offered mobile app versions of the XRP TipBot.

The fact that there is inline XRP TipBot and it already allows Twitter, Reddit and event Discord to tip XRP by using “key phrases.” However, the developers also took care that there would be no instances of money laundering in these cases and capped the tipping amount to between 5 XRP/tip and 100 XRP/month.

Users will be able to use the mobile app only after their account is loaded with the XRP currency in the first place.

Cleverly the developers have ensured that users do not exit the platform by allowing existing users of TipBot to use the same credentials with the app. These will then be unified across devices.

TipBot has been charting new courses for itself lately.

In a surprise development, it announced its integration with Coil, a project which is the new brainchild of the ex-Ripple CTO, Stefan Thomas.

TipBot and Coil

Coil offers payment solutions and has been working with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Coil works very similar to Brave and is attempting a losing battle against advertisements and paywalls which inhibit the payment processes between publishers and writers for content produced and displayed. The coil has also worked with Mojaloop which

open-source software for financial services companies, government regulators, and others  taking on the challenges of interoperability and financial inclusion.”

Coil’s style of operations is micropayments and will also eventually look at monetizing the internet. The coil is focused on changing several things in the future given the current clickbait article culture rampant across the web. XRP will replace the fiat-currency payment for less than a cent and will also allow revenue generation product which will then sell and use XRP.

Thus, the idea of XRP-based TipBot is not only exciting for users to adopt and implement but what is a bonus here is that it is set to change the course of online payment methods.
