The US House Committee on small business will host a hearing on the benefits of blockchain technology to small firms and entrepreneurs in the United States of America. The hearing is scheduled to take place on the 4th March at 16:30 UTC.

Several from the crypto industry to witness before the committee

Several witnesses from the crypto industry will testify before the committee, including Ownum CEO Shane McRann Bigelow, Popcom CEO Dawn Dickson, general counsel for Protocol Labs Marvin Ammori. Committee chairwoman Nydia M. Velazquez in a statement, said that blockchain has several uses, including tracking goods in global supply chains or enabling peer-to-peer transactions between connected devices. The hearing aims to explore how startups can utilize blockchain technology to boost productivity and increase security.

Countries continue to adopt blockchain technology.

Countries around the world are adopting blockchain technology in several fields, including logistics and healthcare. Government officials around the world have acknowledged the technology underlying most of the cryptocurrencies as revolutionary and are studying extensively. Recently Australian Ministry for Industry, Science, Energy, and Resources published a 52-page road map that focuses on blockchain technology. However, lawmakers are not so keen on decentralized cryptocurrencies for which the technology was originally intended. Regulations around cryptocurrency have gotten much strict in the last few years.
