TRON Foundation in July announced about the launch of their BitTorrent File System(BTFS) testnet. Earlier it was only available for Tron blockchain, and the foundation added that the platform would also be available on BTT ecosystem soon. CEO Justin Sun in a recent update, revealed that BTFS would be integrated into BTT soon as they release BTFS MainNet soon.

This announcement was confirmed on Tron Foundation’s official blog post, and it explained how BTFS has many advantages such as low prices, reliability, better decentralization, and the advanced incentive mechanism.
This launch is aimed towards two major features of the system- removal of files and directories which would help users to delete files on local nodes easily. More than 3000 new BTFS nodes have been added into BTT client to make it the largest and first scalable decentralized storage system.
Tron Foundation also revealed its plans for the Q4 of 2019. They plan on expanding the BTFS community by launching various comprehensive toolsets like BTFS accelerator and several BTFS DApps. For Q1 of 2020, Foundation intends to wrap up the BTT token integration as they launch BitTorrent-integrated version.
The price of BTT was falling by 9% but the price recovered by 6% in the past 24 hours as the news of the launch was made official.
