During a Crypto Finder video podcast, Tim Draper was asked about his opinion on Ross Ulbricht Tim said that we need more entrepreneurs like him. He added that “Why do we have these extraordinary people in jail? We need their minds, their energy, their life force.” He also opined that there should be a better way to punish criminals instead of putting them behind bars.

Ross Ulbricht is serving a double life sentence plus 40 years.
Ross Ulbricht was convicted on 4th February 2015 for all the charges against him, including money laundering, computer hacking, conspiracy to traffic fraudulent identity documents, and conspiracy to traffic narcotics by means of the Internet. In May 2015, he was sentenced to a double life sentence plus forty years without a possibility of parole. The charges against Ross Ulbricht were all of the non-violent crimes, but still, he was handed a double life sentence.
Protests at Trump’s rally in Florida in support of Ross
The members of Miami Bitcoin Center and FreeRoss.org demonstrated protests during Trump’s rally in Florida this week. The protesters aimed to encourage President Trump to pardon Ross Ulbricht, or at least reduce his sentence. As of now, almost 250,000 people have signed the petition on Change.org to get Ross out of jail.
