According to a Bangkok Post report, Securities and Exchange of Thailand warned people of a fake page on Facebook that claims to be Bitcoin Co. The SEC said that Bitcoin Co announced that it would stop providing digital exchange services from next month.
This fake Bitcoin Co page claimed to provide digital asset services. SEC has already asked the police to investigate the facebook account. SEC also urged people to contact the company only through its official website.
Bitcoin Co earlier announced to end its exchange and wallet services to focus on other business opportunities. The company also asked its customers to withdraw their funds before 1st November. Bitcoin Co will disable its deposit service by the end of this week. The company is shutting down after providing exchange and wallet services for five years.
