The Lawsuit filed against Telegram by the US Securities and Exchange Commission is fixed for its hearing on October 24 in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. The trial is scheduled just days before the platform is supposed to launch its crypto token.

According to the declarations, GRAM is set to launch by October 31. However, the session can rise to be a barricade as the legal uncertainty is hanging on the blockchain project. AS reported, Telegram might postpone the launch. The case filed accuses Telegram of raising $1.7 billion from an unregistered ICO where $424.5 million is estimated to have come from the US-based investors.

Pavel-Durov, the founder of the network, told the investors about his disappointment in the US watchdog, claiming that they had been in well-talks for over a year. Telegram can file a counterclaim by October 18.
