Ross Ulbricht, the creator of the Silk Road website on the darkent, has predicted that the price of bitcoin will touch $100,000 next year. He claims he predicted both the bitcoin waves of 2013 and 2017 accurately from the prison, and he thinks another one is just around the corner.
Bitcoin all set to touch a new all-time high?
The current all-time high of bitcoin is $20,000 that it reached in February 2017. But several crypto analysts and industry giants have predicted that the price of the leading cryptocurrency could break that record in the coming year. Earlier, Morgan Creek Digital co-founder, Anthony Pompliano predicted that bitcoin could touch $100,000 by the end of the next year. Ross Ulbricht also noted that bitcoin could break its previous all-time high sometime in 2020.
Bitcoin continues to hover around $7,000.
At the time of writing bitcoin is changing hands at just above $7,000 mark. The short term prediction for bitcoin is still bearish. Recently, bitcoin fell to a six-month low after it traded below $7,000 for a while after China announced a crackdown on crypto businesses in the country. The halving of bitcoin is scheduled to take place in May 2020. In the past halving event has always been a positive sign for the price of bitcoin.
