Cryptocurrencies are trending right now, and the market of cryptocurrencies and its wallets is ever-expanding. We see new launches now and then, and the latest addition to this is the Rakuten Wallet.
Rakuten is a Japan-based e-commerce venture, and they have publicly launched its cryptocurrency exchange. The news was announced on Monday, and the company said that the users could start trading in Bitcoin, Ethereum an Bitcoin Cash using a mobile app.
However, the app is just available on the Android platform right now with an iOS version planned to launch by September. Rakuten wallet started accepting registrations back in April using Rakuten Bank.
The customer assets will be stored in a cold wallet, and the private keys will be secured through a multi-signature process, and the two-step authentication is also present while logging in and withdrawing funds. The firm has also partnered with a blockchain security firm, Cipher Trace to protect its service from cyber crimes and money laundering.
