Prosecutors have announced seventeen additional charges against WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange for publishing secret diplomatic cables and files.

Prosecutors have announced seventeen additional charges of violating the Espionage Act against the founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange for the crime of publishing hundreds and thousands of secret diplomatic cables and files on the wars in Afganistan and Iraq which as a reminder revealed the extent of the crime being committed in those wars. This is a massive blow to freedom of speech.

Julian Assange is already fighting extradition proceedings in London based on an earlier hack related count which is brought by the Federal prosecutors in North Virginia. If Julian Assange is extradited to the United States and being charged under the Espionage Act of 1917 can actually carry the death penalty but most probably life in prison. Journalism is being made into crime and that should scare everyone.

WikiLeaks platform had also exposed Craig Wright for falsely claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the founder of Bitcoin.
