The playboy party mansion will soon have a digital version in partnership with The Sandbox, coming to the metaverse under the name “Meta Mansion.”
The company continues to develop its strategy around Web3, and this time, it will feature mini-games, social interactions, events, and digital collectible releases. All this is inside the “MetaMansion,” the version of the Playboy mansion in the Sandbox metaverse.
Rachel Webber, Playboy’s brand and strategy director, said the company is excited to work with Sandbox’s design and development teams to build this “premium, personalized experience in the metaverse.”
He also added that “the opportunity to create this environment so that more people can enter a virtual space in a contemporary way is something we are really happy to make happen.”
The partnership between Sandbox and Playboy expands on Playboy’s pioneering work on Web3. Playboy was one of the first companies to join Web3 and saw its NFT releases sell out within three minutes.
Playboy Rabbitars, mentioned in the Sandbox tweet and illustrated above, was the company’s first major NFT collections project, launched in October 2021. Rabbitars and The Sandbox LAND owners will access exclusive activities within Playboy’s digital environment.
