Peter McCormack and Craig Wright have been in a legal battle for quite some time now because of the incident that took place. Craig Wright some time back called himself as the inventor of the largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin to which podcaster Peter reacted by calling him a fraud.

Consequences of this response? Craig sued Peter for defamation. But in court, Peter’s lawyers decided to go after Craig and said that he has been “wholly discredited” way before Peter made the remark. They added that Craig is just wasting the courts time and has no proof for his claims.

Wright filed a case against all those people who accused him of fraudulently posing as Satoshi, and this list of people included Ethereum inventor, Vitalik Buterin and Bitcoin Cash booster Roger Ver.

In response to this, Peter’s lawyers provided the court with several instances of Wright publicly undermining himself and doing things for publicity. These included the supposed “cryptographic proof” that failed in 2016 and his acknowledgment that people trust him and believe that he is the inventor of Bitcoin. Other details came up as well such as the publicity deal made to him that led to him claiming to be Satoshi, his forging of various documents and his attempt to “copyright” the white paper.
