The term “cryptocurrencies” has succeeded in holding a spot in the Oxford dictionary. Along with it, Bitcoin and Satoshi are also added.

The English Oxford Dictionary is again updated, and the update has undoubtedly brought joy to the crypto community. In addition to the words, sub-headings, senses, and more extending from history to politics, the crypto terms, including Cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin, and Satoshi, are also added in the glossary.

Cryptocurrencies are defined as informal, substitute currency operating without any central authority, and employing the cryptographic technique. Under its description, Bitcoin has been described as the earliest digital currency.

Moreover, Satoshi has also succeeded in holding the spot in the dictionary. According to Oxford, Satoshi is described as the smallest monetary unit in the Bitcoin digital payment system, which is equal to one hundred millionth of a bitcoin.

Along with this, the dictionary is updated with words originating from centuries ago to the current date like whatevs, Manhattanhenge, and abugida.
