Forbes magazine released the list of top richest persons. The list includes over 2000 billionaires, but only four of them belonged to the crypto industry.

There are more than 2000 billionaires on Forbes’ ‘The Richest in 2020’ list, but there were only four people on the list that belonged to the crypto industry. Forbes named 2095 billionaires from different industries in its list that was released on 8th April. Four people from the crypto industry that were named in the list were Micree Zhan, Jihan Wu, Chris Larsen, and Brian Armstrong.

Bitmain co-founder Micree Zhan made the list with $3.2 billion net worth

The richest man in crypto on the Forbes list is Bitmain co-founder Micree Zhan, who appears at No. 690 with a net worth of $3.2 billion. Bitmain’s other co-founder Jihan Wu is also not too far behind in the list. Jihan Wu appeared at no. 1307, with $1.8 billion net worth. The former Ripple CEO Chris Larsen also appeared in the list at number 886, with a net worth of $2.6 billion. The fourth person to appear on the list is Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong. He was ranked at 2087, with one billion dollars in net worth.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao did not appear on the list

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao is among the wealthiest person in the crypto industry, with his net worth estimated at around $1 billion. But the CEO of one of the leading crypto exchanges in the world failed to make Forbes’s list of richest in 2020. Binance CEO was named third in the list of “The Richest People In Cryptocurrency” by the publication in February 2018. Gemini founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss were also absent from the list. Their net worth is estimated at $1.8 billion, separately just shy of the benchmark for inclusion in the list.

In this list of Forbes, there were many billionaires from traditional finance, including Bitcoin opponent Warren Buffett, whose net worth is estimated at $75.4 billion. Zoom CEO Eric Yuan was also on the list with a net worth estimated at $5.5 billion.
