Despite the recent bear markets that took BTC to a low of $3700, the chairman of New York Stock Exchange is confident about Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies. Jeff Sprecher is also the CEO of ICE (Intercontinental Exchange) and is Kelly Loeffler’s (CEO of Bakkt) husband.

Jeff was very confident about Bitcoin’s future at the Consensus conference in New York.

“There are thousands of other tokens that you could argue are better, but yet bitcoin continues to survive, thrive, and attract attention.”

he said.

Bakkt will launch in January 2018

Bitcoin futures will be traded on Bakkt which is scheduled to be launched on January 24, 2019. Bakkt holds a very bullish sentiment for Bitcoin as it opens BTC trading in a regulated manner as a commodity by the CFTC.

ICE is the world largest stock exchange.

The world’s second larget stock exchange, Nasdaq is also launching Bitcoin Futures trading in early 2019 as reported here.
