Nouriel Roubini is an American economist who teaches at New York University’s Stern School of Business, and he is also the chairman of Roubini Macro Associates LLC.
Roubini is quite active on Twitter and being an economist, he is aware of the latest news about the economy as well, and recently in a Tweet, he mentioned that Donald Trump is making a huge mistake if he thinks that the new Fed cuts will help him get new trade in the country.
The trade and tech war between China and America is leaving the country with a negative impact on its economy and growth. He says that the shocks on the economy are much larger and the 250 basis points of the Fed cut won’t be of any help.
And he thinks that a global recession will be hitting soon if they add the oil shock that has occurred because of the war with Iran. But Roubini and Trump have one common interest- they both are against the use of cryptocurrencies, and they are found criticizing them now and then. Roubini thinks that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies make him skeptical about their usage as they don’t have enough regulations to keep them fair.
