Specifically, the company has filed a patent. The corporation’s patent filing mentions things like crypto wallets (both a hardware and software wallet), as well as downloadable mobile applications for providing access to cryptocurrency collectibles, cryptocurrency art, different application tokens and also, makes mention of an online marketplace featuring footwear and clothing as potential use cases of that cryptocurrency token.
Nike Tokens Coming?
This would seem to indicate that Nike might indeed be integrating cryptocurrencies into its growing online marketing business which has brought in more than 1 billion dollars in the first quarter of this year alone. A digital token like this would actually be a great use case.
Imagine getting Nike Tokens as a cashback reward when you buy a pair of shoes etc.
