Cardano is a cryptocurrency project that is started by IOHK. Charles Hoskinson is the founder of IOHK and August has been a month full of announcements by him.

At first, on 13th August, he tweeted that a new version 1.6 for Daedalus will be released in the few days. A new version of the open-source crypto wallet, Daedalus was released that had some visual upgrades, as well as the performance of the wallet, also improved from the previous version.
And yes I still am planning on making an announcement at the end of August

Now he has made another Tweet informing people that he’ll be making some announcement soon. Cardano will complete their second year on 28th September, and we can expect for some big announcements by Charles.
