The Malta Financial Service Authority (MFSA) has warned investors of a bitcoin scam. The same type of scam was also reported earlier in January

Today, The Malta Financial Service Authority reported a company by the name Bitcoin Future as a scam. The financial authorities warned investors that no such company is registered with the financial authority in the country. The financial watchdog also informed that this entity shared the same characteristics of a previously reported scam company Bitcoin Revolution.

MFSA issued public warnings against Bitcoin Revolution on 25 January and 25 August of this year. The MFSA advised investors and consumers to make sure before putting any money into the company to check if the entity is authorized to provide such services by the MFSA or any other financial authority.

The Financial Service Authority further informed that Bitcoin Future has been promoting itself via fake news articles by using photographs of local personalities and government institutions, and the fake articles are advertised on various social media platforms and falsely claim to be linked with these individuals and institutions.
