Indian firm Tech Mahindra has announced to launch a blockchain solution for land registry in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Urban Planning

Tech Mahindra would work to enable the digital transformation of the land registry in Abu Dhabi. Indian IT firm is a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting, and business re-engineering services. Ahmad Abdolsamad AlHammadi, the CIO of Abu Dhabi Municipality, said that they believe in proactively embracing new technologies and delivering better citizen experience.

SmartHub application using blockchain will also help in services like buying, resale of the property along with Tenancy Contract Verification.

CIO further added that the implementation of next-gen technologies like Blockchain and SmartHub would benefit citizens in easily accessing government services. TradeArabia reported that all the property-related documents issued by municipalities will be stored using blockchain technology and can be tracked through blockchain nods extended to different entities.

Ram Ramachandran, Tech Mahindra’s General Manager, said they are delighted to be part of this partnership. He added that the company is committed to enabling its customers in the digital transformation roadmap. Tech Mahindra has also collaborated with several startups to develop cutting edge technology solutions, he added.
