Crypto exchange Huobi China has become the latest company to join the state-backed blockchain alliance. The Chinese blockchain alliance also includes giant companies like UnionPay, state-backed telecom company China Mobile and China Telecom, China merchants Bank International, and Tencent-backed WeBank.

BSN will work on blockchain education

According to the official statement, the Blockchain Services Network alliance aims to provide a blockchain infrastructure services platform that bridges different blockchain networks, regions, and institutions. The statement further reads that the environment will reduce the cost of deployment, operations, and maintenance and supervision.

Huobi exchange is based in Singapore with offices in Hong Kong, Hainan, the United States, Japan, and Korea.

The director of the State Information Centre said that the Blockchain Service Network can facilitate the rapid promotion and application of blockchain technology. According to a report by Xinhua News, the platform developed by China Mobile and UnionPay has been successfully deployed.

Yang Chen of the Financial Supervisory Authority said that a “regulatory sandbox” will be created for the province of Hainan to help the government learn more about Fintech innovation without restricting companies from testing their projects.
