Hublot watches can now be purchased with cryptocurrency

The Swiss watchmaker, Hublot, has launched its new limited edition luxury watch, the “Big Bang Unico Gray” watch. The payment can take place through the BitPay cryptocurrency payment platform.

Hublot announced on June 21st that it would release 200 new limited-edition luxury watches available online using cryptocurrencies.

Crypto payments processor BitPay announced support for Shiba Inu in late 2021, allowing spending SHIB at hundreds of BitPay merchants. BitPay supports Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and other USD-stablecoins.

The price of this Big Bang Unico Gray limited edition watch is around 7,200 Euros. In the United States, it costs $22,000.

The buyer must pay a little more than 1 BTC to buy one of these watches.

Luxury watch manufacturer Hublot was founded in 1980 by Carlo Crocco. French luxury group LVMH owns the company.

LVMH acquired Hublot in 2008. LVMH also owns another luxury watch brand, Tag Heuer. Tag Heuer also recently started accepting digital currency payments.

Tag Heuer accepts a total of 12 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and even Dogecoin. The brand has also decided to accept payments from other stablecoins.
