Team Binance announced today that they have successfully implemented a new hardfork in the mainnet of Binance Chain. The company needed this upgrade as they required more functions on the website and wanted to make the network more stable. The hardfork Hubble was activated at the block height of 25,120,000, and the nodes switched to v0.6.1.
The new upgrade includes BEP12 that allows exchanges to reject deposits that have an invalid memo tag. The implemented changes also improve the synchronization process and transaction signature mechanism. The last hardfork that took place on the website added the option to delist trading pairs and add takers and makers differentiation.
The command-line tool is more powerful now, and it can be used to generate a signed transaction and then use the hex-string for broadcasting it. Binance Coin is the 6th largest cryptocurrency asset handler and has a market value of $4.3 billion.
