After an attacker used an ongoing exploit on EOS network to win every roll on a gambling dapp, the network has been frozen. So far, the attacker has managed to steal more than $110,000 worth of EOS.

An attacker used REX on the blockchain network to continuously win on the gambling dapp EOSPlay. A twitter user with username Rektkid explained that an attacker rented a load of resources from REX and is using to exploit a gambling dapp EOSPlay and has gathered 30,000 EOS.

Jared Moore reported to a crypto news outlet that until there’s a fork or a patch anyone who spends more than $1000 or more on REX can continue to abuse the exploit on the network. Co-founder of Greymass claimed that the exploit was with the Dapp’s contract and not with EOSIO network.

EOS has a market capitalization of $3.46 billion and is among the top ten cryptocurrencies. At the time of writing, it is being traded at $3.78, 0.2% down from the last 24 hours. The blockchain platform raised 4 billion dollars in the initial coin offering.
