Telsa Co-founder and CEO Elon Musk tweeted in support of 2020 presidential candidate Andrew Yang. Elon Musk a few days ago tweeted that he supports Andrew Yang. The Democrat presidential candidate is known for his positive instance towards bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. In another tweet, Musk backed Yang’s purposed idea of Universal Basic Income. Yang later replied to Elon’s tweet by thanking him for his support.

Yang is among the other 24 democrat candidates who want to fight Trump for the US precedency.  Currently, Yang is not at the top of the list, but with support form one of the most influential personalities of this era, things might change for him.

Yang has voiced his opinion on the need for an agency that can establish clear frameworks for cryptocurrencies and blockchain in the country. He is also the only candidate who accepts donations for his campaign in the bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies.

Andrew Yang is also on the favor of using blockchain system for voting in elections. He said that even in 2020 people would have to stand in line for hours to vote and the system that is currently used for voting is as much as vulnerable to hackers as any modern tech. He added that it is 100% possible to conduct fraud-proof elections through smartphones using blockchain technology. His positive and futuristic stance towards technology makes him the favorite candidate among the crypto community.
