Edward Snowden says, “this bitcoin drop was too much panic and too little reason.”

The former National Security Agency agent Edward Snowden tweeted that this is the first time in a while he has felt like buying bitcoin. Bitcoin dropped to as low as $3,700 on 12th March during a major panic sell-off.

The famous whistleblower and online privacy advocate, Edward Snowden has always been ambiguous about his opinion on cryptocurrencies. After bitcoin witnessed the worst day since 2013, Snowden tweeted that this is the first time in a while he felt like buying the leading cryptocurrency.

Edward Snowden, who currently resides in Moscow, Russia tweeted that the bitcoin drop was too much panic and too little reason. At the time of writing, bitcoin is changing hands at just above $5,300. The leading cryptocurrency witnessed a massive panic sell-off as bears dominated the market. According to crypto analysts, it might take some time for bitcoin to gain positive momentum.

 

Is this is the best time to buy bitcoin?

However, this slump in the price of bitcoin showed that bitcoin is not that immune to the global financial markets as several from the industry had claimed. The famous whistleblower Edward Snowden, who revealed to the world that the USA’s National Security Agency uses mass surveillance tools to spy on its citizens, showed his interest in buying bitcoin at this time.
