These funds will be used to buy protective equipment for those working in close contact with victims and to control the virus from spreading to medical staff. The exchange further revealed that it had already delivered 20,000 N95 breathing masks to hospitals in Huangguang in the province of Hubei, China.

The philanthropic side of crypto industry.

The major companies in the crypto industry have always come out to support global humanitarian causes, whether its devastating Australian bushfires or Coronavirus in China. Earlier, one of the world’s leading crypto exchange Binance announced to donate 10 million RNB to help Coronavirus victims. Binance has also donated $1 million in BNB to help fight Australian bushfires that killed half a billion animals and displaced thousands of people.

Justin Sun, the CEO of the Tron Foundation, donated $1 million to Greta Thunberg’s climate change initiative. Even though skeptics have called these acts as “publicity stunts,” but the fact remains that these funds will be utilized for a better cause.
