Craig Wright asks for Kleiman lawsuit to be thrown out

Craig Wright filed a scathing motion for summary judgment in the case on Friday, calling the plaintiff’s lawsuit an elaborate fiction.

The legal fight between Craig Wright and Kleiman firm has taken several turns since the filing of the lawsuit. The case still has not gone to a trial. In the latest filing, Craig Wright has asked the Court to dismiss the case entirely, calling Ira Kleiman’s complaint an elaborate fiction. The Craig Wright motion slams Ira Kleiman’s actions throughout the proceedings. It points out that W&K was served all appropriate notices concerning the transfer of property to Wright, which puts Kleiman’s claims outside of the statute of limitations in Florida.

Wright claims Ira Kleiman has submitted no evidence as to the structure and terms of the partnership.

The motion filed by Craig Wright claims that even if the statute of limitations did not bar the action, it would be unenforceable because the Statute of Frauds precludes the enforcement of contracts not intended to be performed within a year. Ira Kleiman has submitted no evidence as to the structure and terms of the partnership, according to the motion. The oral partnership alleged by Ira Kleiman was on a three-year basis. According to Ira Kleiman, his deceased brother David Kleiman and Craig Wright both mined billions of worth of bitcoin together, and Wright defrauded his partner of his share in the bitcoins that were mined.

Lynn Wright files a motion that discredits Kleiman’s story.

According to a motion filed this week by his estranged ex-wife, Lynn Wright, if accepted by the Court, it undermines both Kleiman’s complaint and the basis on which the Court accepted jurisdiction to hear it. Craig Wright’s ex-wife Lynn Wright filed a series of motions in the Florida court this week, staking a claim to W&K firm and providing the most detailed account of the formation and structure of W&K.

The motion filed by Lynn asks the Court to determine the beneficiary shares of W&K. She further claimed that the company was formed in February 2011 by herself, Dave Kleiman, and Craig. Craig had transferred 50% of his interest in the company to Lynn as a part of their divorce settlement back in 2011
