Blockchain software company ConsenSys Space has launched Trusat, a satellite tracking application based on the Ethereum network. The blockchain company took to tweeter to announce the launch of Trusat. The company tweeted that they are thrilled as so many joined for the launch of the project.

According to ConsenSys Space, Trusat is an experiment in democratizing and diversifying space endeavors, which would enable people to make a direct contribution to the long-term sustainability of outer space. Trusat’s users will be able to track satellites in the night sky and record their positions in order to help create a record.

The company explained that the number of satellites is increasing by 25x. TruSat is designed to be a citizen-powered system for creating a globally-trusted record of satellite orbits, it added. The further informed that Trusat is a freely available resource that can be used to assess orbital operations in light of the space.
