Many Bitpay cardholders have reported that their card was used without their permission, and almost all of the unauthorized transactions were generated from California. Bitpay informed users that they do not manage or hold card numbers, and they are awaiting further details.

One user said that Bitpay might face a class-action lawsuit if they do not resolve the issue. Users also criticized BitPay for poor customer service as they failed to address the issue correctly. So many fraudulent transactions do raise suspicion of a security breach, and Bitpay needs to address the issue as soon as possible
