BitMEX sent out a mass email to its users, harming their privacy. The exchange disclosed the email IDs of some users by filling it in the “to” field. Validating the matter, BitMEX declared today that it is aware that some of its users have received a general user update email earlier today, which contained the email addresses of other users.
A twitter user further shared screenshots of the email, revealing numerous IDs of the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange’s customers.
