Currently, Australia is seeing one of the worst bushfires in its history, which has caused thousands of people to leave their houses and left half-billion mammals, birds, and reptiles dead. Now a Bitcoin address has been made public to provide aid to Australian bushfires. All donations will be sent to the Rural Fire Service.
Donations already started pouring in.
Currently, the bitcoin address received around 0.355 BTC in donations just in a few hours since the address was made public. The bushfire so far has caught more than 14.5 million acres, and it is spreading. This is not the first time crypto donations are being accepted for a natural disaster. UNICEF also announced to accept bitcoin donations n 2019.
