SettleMint, a Belgium-based enterprise blockchain startup, raised over $2 million in a new funding round. This startup news brings the total funding of SettleMint to 5.5 million euros ($6.06 million). The firm looks to expand its solutions in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions.

SettleMint provides solutions to organizations deploying blockchain uses.

The Belgium-based startup claims to provide a scalable low code, and infrastructure agnostic enterprise blockchain platform for use case development and deployment. The company wrote in its announcement that after considerable experimentation, there is currently strong momentum for blockchain and distributed ledger technology in both the private and public sectors. The startup expects to see full-scale adoption and moving the technology from a nascent to a prevalent part of IT infrastructure.

KPN Ventures and Medici Ventures participated in the funding round.

KPN Ventures and US based-investor Medici Ventures participated in the $6.04 million funding round. According to the announcement, SettleMint so far has raised 5.5 million euros in funding rounds. The startup will use the funds to accelerate the international expansion and commercialization of SettleMint’s blockchain solution around the globe. SettleMint aims to solve the major challenges of enterprise-grade blockchain use case development and deployment.
