According to the Bakkt Volume Bot on Twitter, the trading volume of the day so far is 5147 BTC ($38.74 million), with the last traded price at $7,528. This is the third time this month that the daily trading volume on Bakkt reached an all-time high.
A 40% increase from the last all-time high.
On November 23, the bitcoin futures exchange reported a trading volume of $20 million, with 2,728 bitcoin futures contracts being traded. But today the Intercontinental Exchange backed Bakkt broke that record as it traded over $38.74 million. Before that, the bitcoin futures exchange reported a trading volume of $15.5 million. Earlier, Bakkt announced the launch of its custody feature for its entire client base following regulatory approval.

Bakkt’s trading volume picks up momentum.
The trading volume on Bakkt has been growing quite steadily from the last few weeks. Launched in September, the ICE backed bitcoin futures exchange failed to report substanitial numbers during the initial weeks, but since then, the trading volume has increased substantially. In late october, Bakkt saw a rise of 257% in its daily trading volumes. The price of bitcoin has also been quite volatile during the last few weeks.Currently, the leading cryptocurrency is changing hands at $7,500 after dropping to a six month low last week.
