Bakkt, a platform that is long awaited has finally revealed the launch date of its testing phase of the physically delivered bitcoin futures.

Bakkt, a platform that is long awaited by the cryptocurrency enthusiasts has finally revealed the launch date of its testing phase of the physically delivered bitcoin futures. According to a blog post posted by the company on its medium account, they are going to start testing the physically delivered bitcoin futures on 22nd July 2019.

After delaying the launch due to the regulatory compliance for multiple times since August 2018, it seems that the company is finally set to launch the physically delivered bitcoin futures.

According to the COO of the company, Adam White, Bakkt is going to initiate the user acceptance testing for the bitcoin futures listed and traded at ICE Futures United States and cleared at ICE Clear United States on the 22nd of July, which is 2 days after the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11.

Bitcoin Futures:

The news comes just a few weeks after the CME Bitcoin Futures recorded high volumes last month.

However, Chicago Board Options Exchange which was the first exchange to offer bitcoin futures is closing its contract offers this month when its final contracts get settled.
