The cryptocurrency miner, Argo Blockchain PLC, announced that it has appointed its vice president and co-founder Peter Wall as the new CEO of the company. Argo blockchain also received another 3,616 Bitmain Antminer T17 crypto mining machines, which are currently being installed and are expected to become operational by the next week.

Gil Penchina steps down from the board.

The cryptocurrency miner Argo blockchain also announced that its non-executive director Gil Penchina has stepped down from the board on January 1. Ian Macleod, the former corporate secretary of Canadian social networking services firm Teligence, has succeeded him. Peter is a technology entrepreneur based in Ottawa, Canada and is President of Vernon Blockchain, a company specializing in the design, build and management of cryptocurrency mining operations in Canada and worldwide.

Argo aims to have 17,000 machines by the end of the first quarter.

The cryptocurrency miner Argo received another 3,616 Bitmain Antminer T17 crypto mining machines. The company requires 6,384 more machines to attain its goal of having 17,000 machines installed by the end of the first quarter of 2020. The new machines will increase the company’s mining capacity by 75%, and it will increase its current production base by 204%.
