Recently we came across a post on Reddit which was submitted by a user named KDeniska in which she explains how she felt betrayed by the bitcoin exchange Kraken despite being their VIP customer. This user was a client of Kraken for 2 years and had used their wallet facility to store her bitcoins.
She did some trades but wasn’t lucky enough, and again she bought a few thousand euros to the wallet. By the end of July, she got her bitcoins converted to 46,000 Euros which she put in leverage trade. But she realized on 2nd August that she is unable to trade or withdraw her money. She wrote to the customer support chat where they responded and asked her to remain calm and that they’ll reach out to her.
Her opened positions kept losing value, but she was unable to trade, which lead to loss of about 26,000 Euros. She knew that every trade is virtual, and she still has her 46,000 Euros with Kraken, but she was not happy with the service. She again reached out to support chat where they told her that an investigation is being done and they’ll get back to her.
